Job Summary
Cognizant is hiring 2025 engineering graduates through its GenC program for entry-level software engineering positions across multiple Indian cities. Selected candidates will work on business requirement analysis, coding, testing, debugging, and deployment while following Agile and SDLC practices. The role emphasizes continuous learning, strong problem-solving abilities, and collaboration to deliver reliable and cost-effective IT solutions for global clients. Candidates will receive structured training and mentorship to build industry-ready technical skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Understand business requirements, raise clarifications, and create technical documentation including low-level designs.
- Develop, maintain, test, debug, and deploy code based on requirement specifications and quality standards.
- Design and execute test scenarios, understand data requirements, and work in Agile application development environments.
- Identify and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines, proactively address issues, and mitigate points of failure.
- Take ownership to deliver on assigned goals in a timely manner and participate in project meetings and technical sessions.
- Continuously upskill, reskill, and cross-skill to adapt to new technologies and frameworks.
Qualifications & Skills
- 2025 batch B.E/B.Tech/M.E/M.Tech graduates in eligible engineering streams (excluding Leather, Food, Fashion Technology, etc.).
- Consistent academic record with minimum 60% in X, XII, Diploma, UG, and PG with no standing arrears at the time of joining (no rounding from 59.9%).
- Strong fundamentals in programming languages (Java, Python, C#), data structures, algorithms, OOPS, and SQL.
- Excellent communication skills, ability to work collaboratively in teams, and flexibility to work from any Cognizant office location.
- Open only to Indian nationals or OCIs currently residing in India; must use personal email ID for all communications.
