Job Summary
Brightly Software, a Siemens company, is seeking an Associate Test Engineer to join its Engineering department in Noida. This role supports critical application platforms by developing and maintaining automated test scripts, executing test cases, logging defects, and ensuring timely resolution of issues. It involves collaboration with product and engineering teams in a fast-paced environment, emphasizing product quality, problem-solving, and process efficiency. Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain test scripts based on functional, technical, and ad hoc requirements.
- Execute test cases, log defects, and maintain comprehensive test documentation.
- Investigate root causes of defects and track them to closure.
- Multitask and stay organized in a dynamic, deadline-driven environment.
- Build deep subject matter expertise in automation testing to support program success.
Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related discipline, or equivalent experience.
- 0–1 years of relevant software testing or development experience.
- Strong foundation in data structures, algorithms, object-oriented programming, SQL, and web programming.
- Knowledge of programming languages and frameworks such as Java/J2EE with Spring Boot.
- Familiarity with databases like MS SQL Server, MySQL, Oracle, Postgres.
- Experience with web/application servers, e.g., Tomcat.
- Knowledge of unit testing frameworks like JUnit.
- Experience with version control tools such as Git or SVN.
- Understanding of cloud platforms like AWS or GCP is a plus.
- Active participation in open-source projects, technology communities, and meetups enhances suitability.
