Job Summary
CRED is looking for a Back-end Developer Intern to help build and scale products that reward financially responsible users in India. The intern will work with experienced engineers to design, develop, test, and deploy backend features that power CRED’s member experiences. This role is ideal for students or freshers with strong programming fundamentals, curiosity to learn, and a passion for building reliable, customer-centric systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Work with mentors to solve real-world backend problems and contribute to live product features.
- Design, develop, test, and deploy backend components following best practices in software engineering.
- Own the outcomes of assigned modules, including performance, reliability, and code quality.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate APIs, handle edge cases, and improve overall system robustness.
Qualifications & Skills
- 0–2 months of experience in product development or software engineering.
- Proficiency in at least one language such as Java, Python, or Golang, plus understanding of APIs, testing, and edge cases.
- Strong knowledge of data structures and algorithms, including arrays, trees, graphs, heaps, sorting, recursion, and dynamic programming.
- Familiarity with discrete mathematics concepts like probability and combinatorics.
- Curiosity to learn, ability to navigate ambiguity, and empathy for customers when building products.
- Bonus: Experience using AI tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT) to enhance coding and debugging workflows.
