Job Summary
The Graduate Trainee – Associate Integration Engineer role focuses on supporting PayU’s merchant integration and software connectivity across platforms and payment systems. As an Associate Software Engineer – Merchant Integration, the trainee helps isolate, diagnose, reproduce, and resolve technical issues related to payment APIs, plugins, and transaction flows. The position suits highly motivated self-starters who enjoy solving complex problems, working closely with developers, and ensuring smooth, reliable integrations for merchants.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with developers, merchants, and internal teams on pre- and post-integration issues, providing technical support, consulting, and best practices.
- Handle Level 1 technical support for merchants, addressing queries on payment APIs, plugins, and transactions, and communicating resolutions clearly.
- Analyse logs to identify trends and root causes, documenting and escalating recurring or critical issues to product teams in a timely manner.
- Maintain accurate records of issues, enhance merchant experience through proactive troubleshooting, and communicate technical information in simple terms to non-technical stakeholders.
Qualifications & Skills
- Batch 2024/2025 preferred with B.Tech/B.E in CS/IT or any bachelor’s degree (technical degree preferred).
- Strong analytical, logical thinking, and problem-solving skills with ability to handle complex issues.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; proficiency in English (written and verbal) and good customer care attitude.
- Ability to explain technical concepts in simple language, keep accurate records, and stay updated with product and process knowledge.
- Knowledge of web development in one or more languages such as Java, JavaScript, C, C++, C#, VB.NET, PHP, or Python is an added advantage.
