Job Summary

Coinbase is seeking passionate Software Engineer Interns to help build the future of onchain financial technology and cryptocurrency products. Interns will work on large-scale, complex technical challenges, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to drive innovation and improve global economic freedom. The program delivers hands-on experience with modern infrastructure, cloud technologies, and secure, real-time applications. Successful applicants will engage in rapid learning and personal growth in a driven, mission-oriented culture.​

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with engineers, designers, product managers, and leadership to shape and execute technical goals each quarter.
• Write high-quality, well-tested code to meet customer requirements.
• Tackle large-scale, complex engineering problems bridging web and blockchain technology.
• Contribute to building and improving crypto-forward products such as Coinbase.com, Custody, Wallets, and NFTs.
• Operate and secure dockerized infrastructure within cloud environments.​

Qualifications & Skills

• Experience in any object-oriented programming language (via coursework, projects, or prior work).
• Currently pursuing a degree or certificate in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mathematics, or related field.
• Passion for developing user-focused experiences and solving technical problems.
• Self-motivated, growth-oriented, and open to feedback.
• Preferred: Familiarity with Golang, MongoDB, AWS, Docker, Postgres, Ruby/Rails, or React Native.​
