Job Summary
This role at Cisco is designed for highly motivated new graduates who aspire to build innovative software solutions across diverse domains such as networking, cloud, embedded systems, and application development. As part of Cisco’s engineering team, you will contribute to the design, development, and optimization of products that transform how people connect, communicate, and collaborate. You will work on next-generation technologies and gain hands-on experience with tools and platforms that shape global network innovation.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and debug software programs for new products and feature enhancements.
- Collaborate on the development of software tools to support design and infrastructure across various platforms.
- Build scalable applications for multiple devices and environments including cloud, desktop, and mobile.
- Work on networking protocols, system-level programming, and application software depending on project assignment.
- Conduct comprehensive testing and debugging to ensure performance and reliability.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to solve complex technical challenges and influence hardware or software design decisions.
Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electronics, or a related field (students graduating in 2026).
- Strong understanding of computer science fundamentals and software engineering principles.
- Proficiency in programming and scripting languages such as Python.
- Solid knowledge of TCP/IP networking, routing, and switching concepts.
- Exposure to security protocols such as IPS/IDS, VPN, TLS, or Firewalls.
- Understanding of operating systems, system-level debugging, and device driver fundamentals.
- Familiarity with cloud technologies, object-oriented programming, and scalable application design.
- Excellent problem-solving, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
