Job Summary

As an Associate R&D Engineer at ABB, you will contribute to innovative software and technology for process automation, assisting the R&D team with technical tasks and staying current with industry advancements. This hybrid role offers opportunities for hands-on lab work, supporting testing and setup, network maintenance, and collaborating with product and IS teams. You will help drive ABB’s strategic technology direction while maintaining safety and security standards in the lab environment.​

Key Responsibilities

• Configuration and maintenance of the lab network
• Initial test setup and periodic updates for DSAC team
• Collaborate with IS, product, SCM, and shipping teams
• Lab safety, inventory management, and compliance
• Perform security scans using Nmap, Nessus, ISIC
• Troubleshoot and maintain embedded devices and LAN communication

Qualifications & Skills

• B.E/B.Tech in Computer Science or Electronics Engineering
• 0–2 years’ experience in network domain
• Strong networking fundamentals and debugging
• Basic firewall configuration, virtualization products (VMWare/VirtualBox), and embedded devices
• Knowledge of TCP/IP, LAN troubleshooting, and serial communication
• Experience with security tools (Nmap, Nessus) preferred
