Job Summary
Wells Fargo is seeking an Analytics Associate to support data research, analysis, and reporting for business problem-solving and decision-making. The role involves developing reports, participating in project support activities, troubleshooting production issues, and helping maintain accuracy and efficiency of data processes. The Analytics Associate will also contribute to policy development, participate in data quality initiatives, and collaborate with technology and business teams. This role supports regulatory and operational data needs within the financial services environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Translate business problems and data needs into analyses and actionable recommendations
- Develop standard, customized, and ad hoc reports
- Provide updates on project status, budgets, and contribute to newsletters or reviews
- Assist with design, programming, research, testing, and implementation in projects
- Troubleshoot and resolve production or issuance issues
- Help develop and maintain departmental procedures, policies, and controls
- Work on data research projects and secondary data testing
- Partner with supervisors, consultants, and program managers on various project tasks
Qualifications & Skills
- Minimum 6 months of analytics experience or equivalent through education, military, or training
- Preferred 6+ years in data analysis, data quality monitoring, or oversight roles
- Proficiency in SQL for handling large datasets
- Intermediate Python skills for scripting and data manipulation
- Hands-on experience with data quality frameworks and profiling
- Strong understanding of PSI/CSI indicators for variance analysis
- Familiarity with data lineage, metadata management, and root cause analysis
- Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and problem-solving ability
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Experience in banking or financial services, preferably with regulatory or operational data
- Knowledge of data issue management best practices and regulatory expectations for model risk is a plus
