Job Summary
Thermo Fisher Scientific is seeking a passionate Engineer I, Software to join its Digital Platforms & Engineering Center of Excellence in Bengaluru. This team specializes in building world-class software and cloud solutions that accelerate scientific research and improve laboratory efficiency. The role involves designing and developing scalable automation solutions using Python and modern frameworks, contributing to systems that make the world healthier, cleaner, and safer.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop efficient, scalable Python code to support automation across various functions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and implement automation workflows.
- Debug, optimize, and enhance existing code for improved reliability and performance.
- Contribute to a culture of continuous learning and improvement within the team.
Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Master’s degree in Computer Science.
- 0–2 years of hands-on experience in Python development.
- Strong knowledge of frameworks such as Robot Framework and Pytest.
- Familiarity with REST APIs and database integrations.
- Proficient in debugging and performance optimization.
- Basic experience with version control tools like Git and CI/CD pipelines.
- Understanding of Agile or Scrum development methodologies.
