Job Summary

This Data Analyst role sits within S&P Global’s Enterprise Data Organization, supporting the Maritime Operations cluster with research, validation, and updating of trade-related data. The position focuses on integrating and migrating maritime and trade datasets (ships, companies, ownerships, sanctions, ports, and trade documentation) into a new platform to enhance insights for customers. The role offers early-career professionals the opportunity to develop strong analytical, research, and collaboration skills within a global data-driven environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct research and analysis on maritime and trade datasets, including ships, companies, ownerships, compliances, sanctions, ports, trade, and bills of lading.
• Update, maintain, and validate data in line with research findings, working closely with in-country and regional experts to ensure accuracy.
• Capture data from primary and newly acquired sources, transforming it into high-quality, actionable information for internal and external stakeholders.

Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree (or equivalent) with 0–6 months of relevant work experience.
• Strong interest in the maritime industry, with demonstrated research and analysis capability, attention to detail, and good multitasking skills.
• Excellent communication, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Office and the ability to learn quickly and collaborate effectively in a changing environment.
