Job Summary

The Associate Test Engineer will work in the Engineering department to develop and maintain automated test scripts, execute test cases, log defects, and track resolution. This role plays a critical part in ensuring product quality and timely delivery in a fast-paced environment. The engineer will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to support ambitious product initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain functional, technical, and ad hoc test scripts
- Execute test cases and document testing outcomes
- Log defects and investigate root causes for issue resolution
- Track defects to closure and maintain thorough test documentation
- Manage multiple tasks efficiently in a dynamic work environment
Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline, or equivalent work experience
- 0-1 years of experience in software testing or related roles
- Knowledge of data structures, algorithms, OOP, databases, SQL, and web programming
- Experience with Java/J2EE and Spring Boot frameworks
- Familiarity with databases like MS SQL Server, MySQL, Oracle, and Postgres
- Knowledge of application servers such as Tomcat
- Unit testing experience with tools like JUnit
- Experience with version control tools like Git or SVN
- Familiarity with Maven or Gradle build tools
- Strong communication and analytical skills
- Bonus: Understanding of cloud platforms (AWS/GCP), open-source projects, community participation, and relevant certifications
