Job Summary

Precisely Software is looking for a passionate Software Engineer I (Java Backend) to contribute to the development of next‑generation cloud applications in the data integrity domain. In this role, you will design, develop, and test scalable backend solutions using Java, Kubernetes (k8s), and modern cloud technologies. You will collaborate closely with developers, data scientists, and product teams to deliver reliable, innovative, and performance‑driven software.

Key Responsibilities

• Participate in design and development of modern cloud applications and backend services.
• Take end‑to‑end ownership of assigned product features.
• Perform unit design, coding, unit testing, and integration testing as part of the SDLC.
• Collaborate in technical discussions, provide feedback, and review peer code.
• Evaluate and adopt new technologies in existing frameworks.
• Work in an agile environment and adapt to changing project needs.

Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline.
• 1–3 years of experience in software development with a focus on Java backend.
• Strong understanding of OOP concepts, Java fundamentals, and REST API integration.
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, Git, JIRA, and Artifactory.
• Experience applying design patterns and architectural principles.
• Exposure to cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP preferred.
• Basic understanding of Docker, Kubernetes, and microservices architecture.
• Working knowledge of TDD (Test Driven Development) and Linux shell commands.
• Excellent interpersonal and collaboration skills in a distributed agile environment.
