Job Summary

This entry level Software Engineer role at Medpace focuses on building and modernizing internal administrative applications for a global clinical research organization. The engineer will work across the full software development life cycle, from gathering requirements to deployment and maintenance. This position offers an opportunity to take ownership of processes, adopt new technologies, and contribute to systems that ultimately support the development of new medical treatments.

Key Responsibilities

• Collect, analyze, and document user and business requirements.
• Design, develop, modify, and support software applications used for administrative systems.
• Participate in validation by creating, reviewing, and executing test plans, test cases, and scripts.
• Follow the complete SDLC: requirements, design, development, testing, release, and maintenance.
• Communicate effectively with team members on projects, tools, standards, and procedures.
• Develop solutions using object-oriented programming in C#, SQL databases, and ASP.NET-based web applications.
• Potentially lead small software development projects as skills and experience grow.

Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• Exposure to or experience with C#, Angular, web services, GraphQL, Git, and relational databases.
• Familiarity with Entity Framework and Azure DevOps is advantageous.
• Understanding of SDLC concepts and software release management practices.
• Prior experience or knowledge of modernizing systems to Azure or other cloud platforms is a plus.
• Strong analytical ability with excellent written and spoken English communication skills.
