Infrrd Internship Hiring Trainee Software Development Engineer | 2025 | Bangalore

Job Summary

Join IBM India Systems Development Lab (ISDL), part of IBM’s Infrastructure division, as a Software Engineer in Bangalore. You will work on the complete product development lifecycle of IBM Systems technologies including Operating Systems, Firmware, Systems Software, Storage Software, and Cloud Software. This role offers an opportunity to collaborate with global teams and deliver innovative solutions for enterprise IT infrastructure. You will be involved in design, development, testing, and support of IBM’s leading-edge server and storage products.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, design, test, and support IBM Systems products across diverse technology areas
• Analyze product requirements and design optimal software solutions
• Implement and test software solutions ensuring high quality and seamless integration
• Participate in product validation and support to assure stable performance
• Collaborate with global teams, including hardware, firmware, and Linux kernel communities
• Contribute to open source projects such as OpenBMC for next-generation enterprise servers

Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related discipline
• Proficiency in C, C++, and knowledge of Linux kernel internals and operating system concepts
• Experience with firmware/embedded programming, open source tools, and scripting languages (Git, Gerrit, Jenkins, Perl/Python)
• Strong system architecture knowledge and software development lifecycle understanding
• Excellent analytical, communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work effectively in global, cross-functional teams
