Job Summary
Goldman Sachs is hiring an Associate Software Engineer to join its Concert Platform engineering team in Bengaluru. The role focuses on building and scaling high-performance distributed systems that power front-office trading and asset management applications. You will work on critical platform components handling massive transaction volumes with low latency and high reliability. This position is ideal for engineers passionate about core Java, distributed systems, and large-scale financial platforms.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, build, and enhance components within the Concert Platform ecosystem
- Develop high-performance, resilient Java-based distributed systems
- Refactor and optimize existing platform components for scalability and quality
- Support internal teams by providing platform-as-a-service capabilities
- Work with messaging systems like Kafka to process large-scale event streams
- Collaborate across global engineering teams and business stakeholders
Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or related engineering field
- 1–3+ years of professional software development experience
- Strong proficiency in Core Java, Spring, and unit testing frameworks like JUnit
- Hands-on experience with distributed systems and messaging platforms (Kafka)
- Knowledge of relational (PostgreSQL) and NoSQL (MongoDB) databases
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills
- Willingness to continuously learn and adapt to new technologies
