Job Summary
This role is for a Trainee .NET/SQL Developer in Gallagher’s platform team in Chandigarh, India. The trainee will work on designing, developing, and maintaining software applications using .NET Core, ASP.NET Core, Angular, and SQL, while also getting exposure to Azure services and microservices architecture. The position offers hands-on learning in a global organization that values quality, innovation, and teamwork, enabling fresh graduates to build a strong foundation in enterprise-grade application development.
Key Responsibilities
- Contribute to the design, development, and maintenance of applications using .NET Core, ASP.NET Core, Angular, and SQL.
- Assist in writing clean, maintainable code and basic unit tests under guidance from senior developers.
- Support database-related tasks such as writing SQL queries and understanding schema design.
- Explore and learn Azure services and microservices architecture as part of project work.
- Collaborate with team members, participate in discussions, and follow established development processes.
- Troubleshoot basic issues, fix defects, and continuously enhance technical skills through on-the-job learning.
Qualifications & Skills
- Appeared/appearing in B.Tech, MCA, MSc (Computer Science), BCA, or BSc (Computer Science) exams, preferably in 2024, with CGPA not less than 6.5.
- Basic understanding of programming concepts, logic, and familiarity with C# or another object-oriented language.
- Basic knowledge of SQL syntax and database concepts.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with eagerness to learn new technologies and tools.
- Good communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
