Job Summary
This role focuses on providing L2 production support for middleware applications and ETL processes in a full-time position based in Hyderabad. The engineer will monitor performance, handle incidents and service requests, and ensure applications meet defined SLAs in a mission-critical environment. The position suits professionals with strong analytical thinking, SQL skills, and interest in production support and ITIL-driven operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide L2 support for middleware applications in production environments.
- Monitor application performance and availability using tools such as Splunk, Dynatrace, or similar platforms.
- Troubleshoot and resolve incidents, service requests, and recurring application issues within defined SLAs.
- Collaborate with development and infrastructure teams to identify root causes and implement permanent fixes.
- Perform regular health checks, log analysis, and proactive maintenance to prevent outages.
- Participate in deployments, including release validation and rollback planning when required.
- Maintain detailed documentation for support procedures, known issues, and resolutions.
- Ensure adherence to ITIL processes such as incident, problem, and change management.
- Support batch jobs, integrations, and other middleware components as needed.
Qualifications & Skills
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in SQL for querying, analysis, and troubleshooting.
- Experience or interest in monitoring tools like Splunk, Dynatrace, or equivalents.
- Understanding of ITIL practices around incident, problem, and change management.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional technical teams.
- Good communication skills and a proactive, ownership-driven mindset.
