Job Summary
Cgi Associate Software Engineer role partners closely with the user experience (UX) team to support the design and improvement of digital products. The position is ideal for design students or recent graduates who want hands-on exposure to UX workflows in a software development environment. The candidate will assist with research, wireframing, prototyping, and collaboration with cross-functional stakeholders to deliver user-centered solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in planning and conducting user research such as interviews, surveys, and usability tests.
- Support the creation of wireframes, user flows, prototypes, and visual design mockups for web and app interfaces.
- Collaborate with developers, product managers, and marketing teams to refine and implement UX solutions.
- Participate in ideation and brainstorming sessions, contributing creative and user-focused design ideas.
- Help analyze user feedback and behavioral data to identify pain points and improvement opportunities.
- Stay updated with UX best practices, design systems, tools, and emerging trends.
- Perform additional tasks as assigned to support the UX and product design teams.
Qualifications & Skills
- Basic understanding of UX principles, user-centered design, and common research methodologies.
- Familiarity with design tools such as Figma, Adobe XD, Sketch, or similar platforms.
- Knowledge of interaction design, along with basic HTML and CSS, is an added advantage.
- Strong interest in solving user problems through intuitive interfaces and experiences.
- Good verbal and written communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team.
- Openness to feedback, eagerness to learn, and a growth mindset.
- Portfolio or samples of academic, personal, or internship design projects is a plus.
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Design or a related discipline.
