Job Summary

This role sits within EY Global Delivery Services Risk Management Services (RMS), specifically the Independence function that safeguards EY’s auditor independence for global audit and non-audit clients. The Associate Analyst/Analyst supports client-serving teams by executing standardized processes built on EY Global Independence policies, helping them evaluate new client acceptances and continuances. The position involves research, analysis, and data updates in EY independence and finance tools to ensure accurate, policy-compliant information that protects EY’s reputation as an independent auditor.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop working knowledge of firm-level Independence concepts and EY Global Independence policies.
• Review submissions and documentation from client-serving teams to check completeness, accuracy, and consistency.
• Perform reconciliation, research, and analysis using internal independence and finance tools and external data sources.
• Update EY tools and databases with accurate information after review by project managers.
• Communicate with project managers and audit/pursuit teams to obtain clarifications and complete procedures.
• Interpret client company and ownership structures in line with independence definitions for audit clients and affiliates.
• Identify and resolve discrepancies across interconnected systems and bring data into alignment.
• Participate actively in knowledge calibration sessions and raise queries to clarify process understanding.
• Work towards meeting or exceeding defined individual KPIs while maintaining quality.

Qualifications & Skills

• Graduate, Master’s, or Post‑graduate degree, preferably in Finance, from a reputed institution.
• 0–1 year of experience in research and analysis, ideally in a professional services environment.
• Exposure to direct client interaction is preferred.
• Strong analytical, interpersonal, and communication skills (written and verbal) in English.
• Basic understanding of company and ownership structures, auditor independence, and risk management concepts.
• Intermediate proficiency in MS Office tools such as Outlook, Word, Excel, and SharePoint.
• Ability to work with an inclusive, client‑centric, enablement mindset.
• Strong ethics, integrity, time management, and task‑prioritization skills, with responsiveness in communication.
• Openness to using and adapting to new digital tools and technologies.
