Job Summary

Virtusa is seeking a highly skilled Angular Developer to lead the migration of legacy AngularJS applications to modern Angular 2+ frameworks. This role involves designing and developing reusable, testable, and efficient Angular components, optimizing performance, and ensuring seamless REST API integrations. The ideal candidate will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable, high-performance web solutions, while also maintaining comprehensive unit tests using Jasmine/Karma. Excellent problem-solving abilities and strong communication skills are essential for success in this position.

Key Responsibilities

• Migrate and modernize existing AngularJS applications to Angular 2+
• Develop reusable, testable, and efficient Angular components and modules
• Optimize application performance through effective lifecycle and change detection handling
• Implement Angular routing, reactive forms, and REST API integrations
• Write and maintain unit tests using Jasmine and Karma
• Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve application issues
• Collaborate with product owners, UX/UI designers, and backend teams to deliver end-to-end solutions

Qualifications & Skills

• Strong proficiency in Angular 2+ (preferably Angular 16-19)
• Solid understanding of TypeScript, RxJS, and JavaScript (ES6)
• Expertise in HTML5, SCSS, and Angular Material
• Hands-on experience with Angular component lifecycle and performance tuning
• Proven experience integrating RESTful APIs
• Strong debugging, problem-solving, and analytical skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
