Job Summary
This role is for a Business Analyst within Verisk’s AD3i Software Solutions (Verisk India) development team, working on mission-critical applications for global insurance clients. The position focuses on building and enhancing data- and analytics-driven solutions for complex insurance business workflows, particularly in life insurance. The analyst will work in lean, collaborative teams and contribute directly to product quality, customer value, and continuous improvement across the application suite.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as a bridge between business stakeholders and technical teams to clarify, document, and prioritize requirements.
- Gather and analyze business requirements through meetings, workshops, and observations, and translate them into clear specifications and process maps.
- Plan and execute functional, regression, performance, and UAT testing, including designing test cases, running manual/automated tests, and reporting defects with clear reproduction steps.
- Use data analysis to identify trends and insights, maintain detailed testing documentation, and support continuous improvement of testing processes and tools.
- Provide training and support to end users on new features and systems to ensure smooth rollout and adoption.
Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Information Technology, or a related field; a relevant master’s degree or MBA is an added advantage.
- 0–2 years of experience in business analysis, preferably in life insurance implementations, with exposure to insurance domain processes.
- Familiarity with Excel and SQL; knowledge of BI tools such as Tableau or Power BI and requirements tools like JIRA/Confluence is preferred.
- Strong communication, analytical thinking, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills with the ability to work in collaborative, cross-functional teams.
