Job Summary

Siemens Healthineers is seeking a motivated Technical Intern (Data Engineer) to join our growing Data & Analytics team in Bangalore. This role is ideal for students or recent graduates passionate about data engineering, AI/ML, and cloud technologies. You will work alongside experienced engineers to develop data pipelines, improve data quality, and deploy scalable solutions across cloud environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop prototypes and proof of concepts using diverse data sources, AI/ML methods, and big data technologies.
• Implement structured and unstructured databases utilizing scalable cloud infrastructures.
• Port data across systems to enhance performance, scalability, and analytics capabilities.
• Support Data Architects in designing big data architectures and creating meaningful business insights.
• Collaborate globally, apply problem‑solving skills, and maintain curiosity for new data technologies.

Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or related engineering disciplines.
• 0–2 years of hands‑on experience in data engineering, analytics, or database management.
• Proficiency in SQL and relational DB technologies (e.g., T‑SQL, Oracle, Microsoft SQL).
• Working knowledge of data warehousing concepts (Star Schema, Snowflake Schema, Data Modelling).
• Familiarity with BI/reporting tools like Power BI, Tableau, or Qlik.
• Exposure to ETL tools (e.g., Informatica, SAS DI Studio) and NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB, Cassandra).
• Good understanding of Azure or AWS cloud services (e.g., Azure Databricks, Data Factory, BLOB storage).
• Programming knowledge in Python or R is an added advantage.
• Strong communication, analytical thinking, and collaboration skills.
