Job Summary
Red Hat is seeking enthusiastic Software Engineering Interns to join its teams in Pune and Bangalore. Interns will collaborate with senior mentors and experienced teams, contributing to real-world projects in open source, cloud, and enterprise software. This 6-month program is designed to foster professional development, hands-on technical skill building, and engagement in a diverse and inclusive workplace where innovation and bold ideas are celebrated.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with mentors to design, develop, and maintain code in Python, Golang, Java, or similar languages
- Add features, debug, and track issues in Red Hat products such as RHEL, OpenShift, and Ansible
- Work with Quality Engineering, Design, Product Management, and Documentation teams
- Write automated tests for continuous delivery (CD) pipelines
- Network with fellow interns in an open-source-driven environment
Qualifications & Skills
- Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, IT, AI, or related field
- Coding experience in Java, C, JavaScript, Python, or similar languages
- Experience with relational (MySQL) or non-relational (MongoDB) databases
- Basic understanding of JavaScript frameworks (React, Angular, Vue)
- Familiarity with agile development and UNIX/Linux systems
- Curiosity, creativity, teamwork, and the desire to build and learn
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Contributions to open source (GitHub) considered a plus
