Job Summary
Qualcomm is hiring an Associate Engineer – Java to support the design, development, and validation of embedded and cloud-edge software solutions. The role involves working on cutting-edge products that power next-generation connected experiences. The engineer will collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate requirements into robust, scalable software features.
Key Responsibilities
- Apply software engineering principles to design, develop, modify, and validate embedded and cloud-edge applications and utilities.
- Analyze user needs and software requirements to design and implement small software features.
- Participate in coding, unit testing, debugging, and integration activities to ensure timely project delivery.
- Assist with code reviews, regression testing, and issue triaging to maintain high code quality.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve project objectives and write clear technical documentation.
Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
- 1+ year of experience with programming languages such as C, C++, Java, or Python.
- 1+ year of experience with database management software and working with APIs.
- 1+ year of experience with Git, Perforce, or other source code management systems.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and documentation skills; ability to work under supervision and manage multi-step tasks.
