Job Summary

Clarivate is looking for a Software Engineer to join its Bengaluru team, focusing on backend development with Python and Django in a microservices environment. The role involves active participation in the design, coding, testing, and deployment of scalable applications, adhering to engineering best practices. This position offers opportunities to work on CI/CD, automation, and cutting-edge cloud-native technologies while ensuring code quality and peak performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, code, test, and deploy backend applications using Python, Django, and microservices
• Write maintainable, reusable, high-quality code following SOLID, DRY, and TDD principles
• Develop unit/integration tests and support CI/CD pipelines and DevOps initiatives
• Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize existing applications for performance and scalability
• Work with REST APIs, AWS services, Docker, PostgreSQL, OLAP systems, and messaging platforms
• Collaborate on data analytics, ETL pipelines, data modeling, and implement cloud-native best practices

Qualifications & Skills

• 0–2 years of backend development experience with Python and Django
• Knowledge of REST APIs, AWS, Docker, PostgreSQL, OLAP (Snowflake, StarRocks)
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or related field
• Experience with DevOps, CI/CD (Jenkins, Git), Linux/Shell scripting
• Data analytics, ETL, data modeling background; knowledge of Neo4j, Elasticsearch, RabbitMQ, Redis preferred
