Job Summary

CGI is looking for Apprentice Freshers to assist in developing NLP models for tasks such as text classification, named entity recognition, and summarization. The role involves supporting data preprocessing, tokenization, and annotation workflows while collaborating with senior engineers and linguists. Apprentices will contribute to evaluating model performance using industry metrics and staying current with the latest research in AI technologies. This opportunity is ideal for graduates with strong Python skills, excellent communication, and readiness to work flexible shifts.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in developing NLP models like text classification, named entity recognition, and summarization
• Support data preprocessing, tokenization, and annotation workflows
• Collaborate with senior engineers and linguists on language problems
• Evaluate model performance using metrics such as BLEU, ROUGE, and F1-score
• Stay updated with research in transformers, large language models, and prompt engineering
• Document experiments, datasets, and model behavior clearly

Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Computer Science) with specialization in AI/ML
• Minimum 60% academic performance throughout exams (10th, 12th, graduation)
• Strong Python programming skills
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Willingness to work shifts and extended hours
