Job Summary

Capgemini Exceller is seeking a Data Scientist Junior to support client R&D and engineering challenges by combining software development and advanced analytics. The ideal candidate will leverage programming expertise (Python/MATLAB/R/Java/C/C#/C++) to build models, simulations, and visualization tools for complex datasets. This role requires rapid domain learning, innovative problem-solving skills, and the ability to translate client requirements into actionable insights. You will collaborate closely with clients to interpret data, recommend solutions, and drive better-informed business decisions.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop custom software solutions or analytical tools (e.g., visualization dashboards)
• Model, simulate, and analyze complex datasets using machine learning and statistical techniques
• Combine domain knowledge and technical skills to address client-specific science and engineering problems
• Communicate findings and recommendations clearly to clients and colleagues through written reports and presentations
• Build strong client relationships, ensuring requirements are met and solutions are effective

Qualifications & Skills

Mandatory Skills

• Proficiency in software development and programming in at least one of: Python, MATLAB, R, Java, C, C#, or C++
• Strong foundation in data science, analytics, modeling, and simulation
• Experience working with complex datasets and applying machine learning or statistical techniques
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to articulate technical subjects clearly
• Active DigiLocker account and mobile number linked to Aadhar

Preferred Skills

• Flexibility to switch between software development and data science tasks
• Aptitude for understanding client R&D language and domain requirements
• Enthusiasm for learning new domains, technologies, and professional development
