Job Summary
This Product Design Intern role within Disney Consumer Products India focuses on the Hardlines portfolio, including back-to-school, automobile, consumer electronics, home, and toys. The internship (Jan–June 2026) offers structured exposure to how design, storytelling, and consumer insights are translated into Disney-branded products for the Indian market. Interns work closely with the design and business teams to support research, concept development, and design documentation for licensed products while learning the licensing and merchandising ecosystem.
Key Responsibilities
- Support tracking of global licensed product trends and understand how Disney storytelling integrates into retail products and assortments.
- Conduct consumer and market research, including trend analysis, pop culture shifts, competitor benchmarking, and consumer behavior studies for FY 2026–27.
- Translate research insights into mood boards, concept decks, and design directions for new product and packaging ideas and collaborations.
- Generate product concepts across multiple categories and brands that create immersive consumer experiences and memorable Disney moments.
Qualifications & Skills
- Currently pursuing or recently graduated in Product Design, Visual Communication, or a related design discipline (NID or equivalent preferred).
- Strong interest in character/entertainment IP, storytelling-led design, and consumer products for categories like toys, electronics, and back-to-school.
- Basic proficiency with design and visualization tools (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite, sketching, prototyping) and ability to communicate ideas visually.
- Good research, analytical, and presentation skills to synthesize trends and consumer insights into clear design directions.
- Strong collaboration, communication, and time-management skills suitable for a fast-paced, cross-functional global brand environment.
