Job Summary
Tower Research Capital is seeking a Software Engineer I to join its Gurgaon team. The role involves working on cutting-edge trading infrastructure, developing test artifacts, and automating quality processes using Python. The engineer will collaborate with global teams to deliver reliable, high-performance systems that drive Tower’s trading operations. This is a great opportunity for motivated individuals with a strong technical foundation to begin their career in financial technology.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with developers, QA, support teams, and stakeholders across the US, Europe, and Asia.
- Design and implement test artifacts, perform end-to-end testing, and track/report defects.
- Prepare and sign off on release plans and user notifications.
- Create and update technical specification documents.
- Conduct certifications and conformance testing with brokers and exchanges.
- Maintain test environments and automate processes using the BDD framework in Python (behave).
- Communicate effectively with global teams throughout the release cycle.
Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field.
- 0–2 years of experience as an SDET or Software Engineer in Test.
- Proficiency in Python and familiarity with Linux systems.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks.
- Preferred: C++ knowledge, SQL/Mongo, Git, BDD/TDD, CI/CD, and DevOps tools.
- Experience or exposure to the financial services industry is a plus.
