Job Summary
The Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) at Akamai is responsible for developing and deploying automated system tests for large-scale distributed systems. The engineer collaborates closely with development and QA teams to ensure world-class digital delivery performance. This role focuses on enhancing integration testing infrastructure, refining test coverage, and driving improvements to automation methodologies.
Key Responsibilities
- Contribute to system test plans for effective automation coverage
- Develop and deploy automated tests that simulate real-world scenarios
- Review product and system design requirements to optimize test cases
- Continuously improve testing methodologies and automation efficiency
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to validate features and systems
Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field
- 0-2 years of relevant experience
- Hands-on experience in Python for test automation
- Familiarity with distributed systems and internet technologies (TCP/IP, HTTP, DNS)
- Passion for scalable automation and collaborative problem-solving
