Job Summary
The Technical Support Engineer 1 at RSA is responsible for delivering exceptional support for RSA’s identity and access management products by resolving technical issues through various communication channels. The role requires strong problem-solving skills, effective communication, and an eagerness to learn RSA technologies. This position operates in a dynamic environment with opportunities to become a subject matter expert, contributing to both customer satisfaction and organizational knowledge. Candidates are required to work on-site two days per week in Bangalore.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as a remote customer advocate, collaborating closely with field teams to resolve customer issues.
- Manage a personal queue of support cases, prioritizing, setting expectations, and providing timely follow-up.
- Troubleshoot, analyze, and resolve customer-reported technical issues using email, phone, and remote sessions.
- Escalate complex issues to senior or specialized engineers as needed.
- Participate in and lead customer calls, clearly communicating solutions and progress.
- Contribute to the creation and maintenance of knowledge base articles and eServices content.
- Support shift operations with flexibility for rotational and on-call schedules.
- Pursue ongoing development to achieve subject matter expertise in designated products.
Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Communications, Computer Science, or related field.
- 0–3 years of relevant technical support or related experience.
- Excellent customer communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills.
- Strong logical reasoning and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced, team-oriented setting.
- Willingness to work in rotational shifts, including weekends and holidays.
- Fundamental knowledge of security, Linux servers, network protocols, web applications, SQL/database systems, and APIs is preferred.
