Job Summary
Verisk is seeking a Software Engineer I passionate about designing, developing, testing, and debugging new and existing software applications. The role involves participating in the full software development lifecycle, including requirements analysis, technical specification, coding, and user needs assessment. Candidates will work with technologies like C# .NET and JavaScript, gain application knowledge of the company’s products, and collaborate in a hybrid work environment focused on innovation, learning, and inclusivity.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, document, test, and debug software applications.
- Analyze and resolve code errors; refine and test programs.
- Participate in the complete software development lifecycle, from requirements to release.
- Author technical specifications based on conceptual design and business requirements.
- Attend design meetings and collaborate to determine technical requirements.
- Increase knowledge in Verisk’s products and services through active learning.
Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline.
- 0-2 years of relevant software industry experience (product company background a plus).
- Familiarity with OOPS concepts, especially in C# .NET.
- Strong knowledge of JavaScript and SQL databases.
- Eagerness to learn new technologies and solve complex problems.
- Excellent communication, presentation skills, and professional appearance.
