Join United’s Tech Ops Business Intelligence team to enable better operational decisions through data design, analysis, KPI creation, dashboard development, and automation. Support improvements in flight completion, on-time performance, productivity, and cost-efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design meaningful metrics that indicate operational health.
- Develop high-quality dashboards and reports for leadership and business teams.
- Curate “single source of truth” tables and views for Tech Ops data.
- Collaborate with Tech Ops groups to understand needs and design data-driven solutions.
- Automate manual reports and processes to increase operational throughput.
- Document data landscape, maintain report inventories, and plan report consolidation or improvements.
Qualification Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Math, Statistics, Operations Research, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in analytics or reporting.
- Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and accuracy.
- Knowledge of data structures and transformation techniques.
- Proficient in SQL, Python, Spark, or similar technologies.
- Skilled in data visualization tools (Spotfire, Tableau, ggplot2).
- Experience with front-end technologies like JavaScript, D3, HTML, CSS.
- Ability to translate business needs into technical data solutions.
- Legal authorization to work in India without sponsorship.
- Fluent English communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in a quantitative field.
- Airline industry experience or understanding of airline operations.
- Knowledge of data ecosystem components (acquisition, engineering, storage, analysis, visualization, deployment).
- Familiarity with statistical and analytical methods.
