Job Summary
Societe Generale is seeking a Software Engineer to join the Octoflow Project team in Bangalore. The role involves developing scalable systems for network flow mapping and certification, utilizing modern technologies and agile methodologies. Candidates will work collaboratively across teams, write clean and efficient code, and participate in all stages of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC). This is a great opportunity for recent graduates or professionals with up to 2 years of experience who are passionate about coding and data engineering.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop code and test case scenarios following software craftsmanship principles.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Build APIs and manage data access rules.
- Conduct release validations, defect analysis, and test suite maintenance.
- Support existing data models, data pipelines, and metadata management.
Qualifications & Skills
- Programming languages: Scala, Shell.
- Data processing tools: Spark, SQL.
- Databases: PostgreSQL, Hive, Starburst.
- Big Data technologies: Hadoop, Kafka.
- CI/CD Tools: Jenkins, Ansible, Control-M.
- Methodologies: Agile, backlog management, collaborative work.
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and teamwork abilities.
