Job Summary
Media.net is hiring a Software Development Engineer in Bengaluru to design, build, and maintain scalable software for its global ad tech platform. The role involves developing high-quality features across web-scale systems that power contextual and programmatic advertising for major publishers and advertisers. The engineer will collaborate with product managers and senior engineers, participate in reviews, and continuously improve existing services and infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and deploy scalable software components and services.
- Write clean, efficient, maintainable code and participate in regular code reviews.
- Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize existing systems to improve performance and reliability.
- Work closely with product and engineering teams to understand requirements and deliver robust features on time.
- Continuously learn and adopt new tools, technologies, and frameworks relevant to the ad tech stack.
Qualifications & Skills
- 6 months to 1 year of experience with a degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field.
- Strong understanding of data structures, algorithms, and object-oriented programming concepts.
- Proficiency in at least one language such as Java, C++, Python, or Go, plus basic knowledge of databases, OS fundamentals, and web technologies.
- Strong problem-solving ability, eagerness to learn and take ownership, and good communication and collaboration skills.
- Added advantage: experience from competitive programming, notable projects, internships, or GitHub/open-source contributions.
