Job Summary

HSBC is seeking an Analyst Intern to join their Risk and Compliance team in Bangalore. This role offers an opportunity to contribute to analytics and model development projects, supporting regulatory and audit submissions while partnering with stakeholders across geographies. The ideal candidate is a recent graduate or final-year student with proficiency in Python and MS Office tools. The position provides hands-on learning in risk analytics, collaborating with senior team members to drive innovative business solutions.​

Key Responsibilities

• Partner with IT/Data Engineering teams to create deployment road-maps
• Provide actionable recommendations for business stakeholders across geographies
• Independently manage analytics project delivery
• Contribute to innovative analytical solutions for performance improvement
• Perform model development and monitoring activities for Traded Risk Models
• Support regulatory and audit submissions
• Work on key Model Development function projects
• Interface with senior stakeholders and manage controls & governance activities
• Work closely with onshore senior team members on specific projects.​

Qualifications & Skills

• No minimum work experience required
• Proficiency in Python and MS Office (Excel & PowerPoint) preferred
• Strong business problem-solving skills
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to communicate complex concepts effectively.​
