Job Summary
As a Java Developer at Capgemini Engineering, you will be part of a dynamic, global team of engineers, scientists, and architects working on cutting-edge projects across industries. This role involves building scalable, high-performance applications using Java, Spring Boot, and microservices. You will design and implement RESTful APIs, work with SQL databases, and contribute to impactful digital solutions that make a real difference. Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain applications using Java/J2EE, Spring Boot, and Microservices architecture
- Design and implement RESTful APIs
- Work with SQL databases for data management
- Write unit tests using JUnit and Mockito
- Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and deployment processes
- Apply software engineering practices in research, design, development, and maintenance
- Exercise judgment and original thought in solving software engineering problems
- Mentor, collaborate, and act as a team player with peers and stakeholders
Qualifications & Skills
Must-Have Skills:
- Solid experience in Java development and microservices
- Strong understanding of REST APIs and web services
- Familiarity with cloud platforms, preferably AWS
- Ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions
Good to Have:
- Experience mentoring junior developers and conducting code reviews
- Passion for clean code and best practices
