Job Summary

In blackboz, The AI Engineer Intern will help design, build, and deploy enterprise AI solutions with a strong focus on Generative AI, LLMs/SLMs, and prompt engineering. The role involves working across data engineering, backend integration, and frontend interaction layers to operationalize scalable AI models on Azure. Interns will gain hands-on experience in production-grade AI workflows, including documentation, monitoring, and lifecycle management of deployed models.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop data pipelines, perform ETL, and preprocess data for AI models.
• Integrate foundational models and RAG-based solutions using Azure AI services.
• Build backend APIs and services to securely expose AI capabilities.
• Support basic frontend integration for AI-powered user interfaces.
• Prepare detailed documentation for handovers and knowledge transfer.
• Design and run test plans, including automated QA for models and pipelines.
• Monitor production deployments, track performance, and support maintenance.
• Take ownership of assigned AI use cases from development to deployment.

Qualifications & Skills

• Proficiency in Python for AI scripting and data handling.
• Familiarity with Azure AI, Cognitive Services, and cloud deployment concepts.
• Understanding of data engineering, ETL, and preprocessing workflows.
• Experience with backend frameworks such as Flask or Django and REST APIs.
• Basic knowledge of testing tools and automated QA practices.
• Strong communication, documentation, and problem-solving skills.
• Self-starter attitude with adaptability across data, backend, and QA tasks.
