Job Summary
Join Clarivate as a Software Engineer – Data Engineering, where you will design and build scalable distributed data processing solutions in a hybrid working model. You will create robust data pipelines, oversee data lake architecture, and drive the technical execution of cloud-based and big data strategies leveraging PySpark, Databricks, Python, and Apache technologies. The position involves collaborating with IT and business teams, enhancing internal tools for structured data transformation, and continuously improving data management processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and deliver resilient, scalable data pipelines and ETL jobs using cloud-native technologies
- Build and maintain the solution architecture for Data Lake Platforms
- Enforce data management and solution best practices
- Collaborate with business groups on data strategy execution
- Focus on data quality, storage, and security within ETL and data pipelines
- Document guidelines, best practices, and support continuous improvement
- Support and interact with other teams to create service mesh structures via AWS-based asynchronous queues
Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
- 0–2 years’ software development experience
- Proficiency in Python, Scala, Java, SQL, PL/SQL, XML, JSON
- Experience with PySpark, Databricks, Apache, Hadoop, Hive, NoSQL, RDBMS, AWS (Glue, EMR, S3, EC2, RDS, Lambda), Kubernetes
- Familiarity with database design, cloud-based data pipeline design, and data migration/version control tools
- Strong analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Exposure to Agile Scrum/Kanban, continuous delivery, migration, and CMS evaluation
