Job Summary

United Airlines is hiring entry-level Data Scientists for its Digital Technology team in Gurugram. The role involves designing and developing scalable solutions for operational and strategic transformation using data analytics and innovative architectures. Candidates will collaborate with business and technology partners across domains, working on projects that drive revenue, reduce costs, and improve customer engagement through advanced analytics and Operations Research (OR) techniques. This position is ideal for recent graduates passionate about AI/ML, optimization, and transforming airline operations in a global setting.​

Key Responsibilities

• Partner with business teams to identify improvement opportunities and analyze data
• Deliver high-quality Operations Research (OR) solutions and maintain documentation
• Communicate technical insights through clear presentations
• Coordinate regularly with stakeholders and ensure timely reporting
• Develop smart, innovative analytical solutions across United’s departments
• Apply advanced OR, ML, and optimization principles to business challenges.​

Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Technology, CS, Statistics, Mathematics, or Economics
• 0–2 years’ experience (entry-level, freshers welcome)
• Strong OR fundamentals (LP, MILP, MDP, metaheuristics)
• Experience in C, C++, Java, R, Python (preferred)
• Strong AI/ML modeling expertise (preferred)
• Effective communication skills
• Legally authorized to work in India without sponsorship.​
